hello everyone, hopeing to get some advice concerning primer's, We had some water issue's and it required removing sheetrock and isulation and so on and so on,,,,,,took care of the leak, installed new insulation and new drywall on one intire wall,, never really cared for the texture on the wall's as is, so while doing that wall I sanded and cleaned thoroughly the other wall's, then skimmed the wall's to a nice smooth look. My question is what kind of primer is neccesary here, I have primer formulated for new drywall for the new work but what about the other walls I recently skimmed? Is there a specific kind or type? I did some searching around here, and if I missed this information in my search I apoligize. In the past Ive gotten some much appreciated help thru different projects, and wanted the thank all of you for all your time and "know how" you invest in this site. Thanks

good deal, thanks Jsheridan.
Glidden gripper is the best sealer/primer I ever used ,,not the stuff from home depot ,,if you want the real deal get from an actual gliddrn paint store
ya that glidden gripper is awesome, a bit pricey and has bit of a funny smell but works wonders. for this type of repair i normally just use gliddens ultra primer. any kind of quality new drywall primer will do the trick
