I was going to paint my concrete basement floor with a moisture barrier paint. but I was also going to pour some self levelling concrete to fill in a few bad spots.

Which should I do first?

thanks

If that water proof paint is cement based don't expect it to survive long on the floor. It is very brittle and will fracture easily.
Yikes----Self leveling compound is to soft for use as a finished floor---it will be all scraped and gouged in no time----

Have you considered using an epoxy compound such as is used on garage floors?? Also, one of the companies that does spray-on bedliners for trucks (Line-X I think) has products for use on concrete floors and patios.
