2" foam board or regular paper faced fiberglass insulation. I need to insulate an interior wall separating the living room from the laundry room and the drywall is off the laundry room.

I was going to use fiberglass but last night got the idea to use foam board.

Any idea?....Thanks.

Fiberglass insulation is about as good for sound proofing as having nothing at all. Here are a few websites to look at:

http://www.soundproofing101.com/

http://www.glacierbay.com/insulation_ultradb.asp

http://www.constructionresources.com...e/acoustic.asp

http://www.acousticsfirst.com/vinyl.htm

http://www.soundprooffoam.com/

http://www.buildingscience.com

Hope this helps. Also, do a search on this forum for sound proofing. I know there are some good threads that talk about it. That's how I found the websites listed above.
