Like the title says, the metal flange ring was completely destroyed. I've seen several types of replacements and am just not sure which to use. Thanks.

Do you have access from below? Cutting out the old and replacing with new is always preferred.

No I dont have access below and the old flange is gone. All I have is the PVC tailpipe there.

Edit - oh I think I see what you mean, cutting the top of that PVC pipe off to glue a new pipe/flange on to it? Yea, cant do that. So what are my options?

If you have a 4" drain they make a replacement glance that slips inside the existing pipe.

Just putting a flange on it does not fix it. If you are afraid of drywall rip the floor above and then cut your pipe and replace it. Rip the floor to the center of the joist.
