Hello all,
I'm replacing an old laminate and carpet flooring section of my home with all new laminate. Under the existing was 3/4" tongue/groove plywood that was screwed directly into the concrete slab.

The concrete slab is mostly level, bit higher on one side of the kitchen area...

Do I just replace it with the same 3/4" tongue/groove plywood > liquid nail > and screw it down... or use something else?

ALSO, because this is in a kitchen and dining room, in the kitchen area by the sink, should I use clear silicone on the laminate tongue when I goto install it so that no water penetrates it?

Thanks!
