Hello - I hope someone here can help me. I work for a company that is trying to be kinder to the environment and one of the guidelines is that we only purchase lumber/wood that has no added urea-formaldehyde resins. I understand that plywood and composite wood products often contain these resins. But do others? What is pressure-treated wood treated with? I'm just finding "preservatives" but that doesn't really help. Thanks for any help!!

The 2 previous posts are certainly right on. Any type of wood that is a build up assembly of various pieces like those mentioned earlier and others such as laminated beams etc. all will have urea-formaldehyde based adhesives in them.
