We had a backed-up sewer pipe. Utility came out and cleared it with a tool that they used at the exterior vent. It is just a 4-inch disc on the end of a rod that you plunge up and down inside the vertical vent pipe to release the clog. I want to get (or make) one of these should it happen again, but cannot find it while searching with a variety of search terms. What is this tool called? Has anyone made one of these? Thanks in advance!

Do you have a whole house trap? Sounds like a modified toilet auger..... Just guessing

Thanks for reply. I guess it is whole house trap. As sewage leaves house just past exterior front wall is a vent above where sewage leads to street. All that was needed to relieve clog was to remove vent grate and plunge the vertical vent pipe with this tool. The disc fits snug inside pipe and the up/down thrusting forces air into "debris" and opens up clog. It was simple and can't be very expensive but I can't find the tool on any searches. I don't think it is a toilet auger. I have one of those already. It's just a rod with a 1-inch thick 4 inch round flexible disc on the end of it. Thanks again!
