Hi everyone.

What is the best way to paint a textured Ceiling? Meaning what type of Paint/Roller should I use? Do I need to prime first?

Here is an example of the textured ceiling I have:

(I had to seal up some louvres with spray foam insulation, then patch it up with drywall)

So I guess I may as well ask also, based on that image, is there a way I can fix that patch to match the rest of the ceiling? Its not a major problem if I can't, but would be nice :). What type of material would I need?

Thanks in advance to any suggestions

I would scrape that down as well. Looks like it will stick out quite a bit after painting. Ater you scrape the surface of it off, that spot will drink the paint, so if you can, get a can of spray Bin and spray it a couple times before you paint.

I love the stuff. Splatter resistant, goes on really nice and covers surprisingly well. I always think that there is no way it will cover some ceilings and I Rarely have to give a ceiling a second coat. Very Rarely. Also, it comes in 2 gallon versions if you think you might use more in the near future it will save you some money.

Awesome! yea, I'm planning on painting all the ceilings eventually, so getting it in 2 Gallons is well worth it...
Thanks again
