What grit sand paper should I use for feather sanding exterior paint? Some of it is wood and some masonry. Is it a bad idea to use sand paper on masonry walls?

Never once used sand paper on masonry.
Pressure washer or wire bush. How old is the house?
Been tested for lead paint?

for wood,I start with 80 or 60 and work my way down( or up). Never sanded masonary
I'm knocking off the seams on the inside of my poured foundation to make it smoother for adding rigid insulation. I'm using a 4" diamond cup and it takes it off like butter. A standard grinding wheel would do as well and being a little slower would mean I wouldn't have to be as careful.

My point is, sanding would not work for me. If you are smoothing a rough surface as opposed to removing any amount of cement than consider a grinder. If you are removing paint from the masonry the sanding would only remove the paint on the high spots and not in the crevices.

Pictures would help.

Should I do the following steps?

1. Pressure wash to knock off loose paint
2. Feather sand wood and wire brush masonry
3. Clean with TSP

Or, should I flip 1 and 2

Here are some pics after scraping:
