I can't think of any circumstances where remodeling the bathroom is a bad idea.

If you just want to change the color neutral beige/tans are popular.

Many paint manufactures have a "color visualizer" on their Web sites to help you select a color that you like.this feature will allow you to take a picture of your space, upload it and add color giving you an idea of what a finished room will look like. It is a representation only. A starting point. From there you can get samples and select the most appropriate color to suit your needs.

My preference is Sherwin Williams. One option that comes to mind is a color called "kilmn beige".
Good luck and happy painting! :)

A neutral color scheme is something which is never out of trend. Hence, you can go a long way with these shades to establish a bathroom with atmosphere of serenity and calm. You can opt for two neutral instead and follow the rule of proportion. Make sure to focus on the distribution and keep it 70: 30. For example, if you go for gray and white, make an interesting color scheme. You can always add visual interest, like floral patterns.
