I have an old UV exposure box that uses 2 x T5 bulbs in series that stopped working. I got replacement bulbs and starters but to no avail.(it uses 2 Sylvania F8W/T5/BL350)

The ballast in the unit has no markings on it.

I have an old unused ballast marked 40W - 1,2m lamp HPF use 3.5uF - Class A4 - can it be used instead?

What would the correct ballast be for this unit

I am very far from places to purchase electrical fittings etc. If it cannot be used - what other plan can I make if any.

I just did a quick search and got way to many hits. Try Googling the lamp number, then narrow it down to the ballast. You may not need that starter anymore. Good luck.
