Hi,

I'm in the middle of a basement half bath drain plumbing and concerned about wet vent placement. Does the placement of the vent, before or after the toilet, make a difference? Would my setup in the attached photo be okay?

You can run toilet wet vent or wet vent then toilet Just size the wet vent properly.

The reason for my question is because I've actually already attempted to repipe this a couple times in an effort to get the proper pitch but it just isn't working out, my toilet always ends up to high(almost an inch above the floor). My original photo is what I was going to attempt to do, to swap around the toilet with the sink, to have the toilet closer to the main and maybe achieve a better pitch. The photo I'm attaching now is what I currently have. Debating now wether I should just build up the floor or something. What's normally done in this situation?

Looks like a long turn 90 under the flange? If so, change it to a regular 90.
How about a street 90 or a street flange. Any of these will gain the inch needed.

It is a regular 90.. I was thinking of maybe this flange with a 60 street? Is this a common situation? I wonder if this doesn't work, if it would be worth trying swapping the toilet and sink around or just building up the bathroom floor with some kind of cement board?

hello josemq i see on the pic u have added a clean out pvc to ur waste line its 4inch correct? im trying to looking for two couplings that attach to the piece so i can add it to waist line like u did but the 4inch couping matches the piece it has to be a little smaller what sizes did u get

What I added isn't a clean out, it's a half bath in the basement. But the main pipe I connected to with the couplings was 4" cast iron and the couplings were also 4"..

thank you i have to go back and check i got the same one and the couplings are the same size of the piece i got and the three inch couplings are to small
