West end of the house gets beat up by the sun - best way to paint it?

The west end of our single story ranch style house gets beat up by direct exposure to the San Diego / SoCal sun - peeling, flaking, cracked, dried out, etc. The other sides of the house, all prepped and painted the same as the west end, have held up very well. Wood lap siding.

Getting ready to repaint the end of the house - seeking suggestions on how to protect, prep, paint brand, etc. to best deal with this sun exposure?

Thanks!

Benjamin Moore's Exterior Aura is the best for tough situations like this
Sherwin Williams Duration is the next best thing
Either would be excellent choices for your "tough on paint" project

Remember prep (removing old coating and priming any bare/questionable areas) can be 50 to 90 percent of the job

and do not forget, DO NOT paint with the sun beating down on you and what you are painting, even through it feels good.
