Well pump question

1640 Views 4 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  Davidb6
I've lived in my house for 12 years and never watered my lawn due to the well. Yesterday was the first time I watered the lawn....new grass seed / dry weather..and I ran out of water.

Question - I always assumed I should not try to water my lawn given I have a well but, is this assumption right or could there be something wrong with my water supply?

Don't know the well pump capacity, new (3 months old) 85 gal WellXTrol (pro) water storage tank. Simple old fashion back and forth lawn sprinkler.

Thanks

My well works the same way. The well just does not produce a consistent water flow for watering. I had to slowly fill a 500 gallon water tank during the night then use this water reserve to water the landscaping. I also collect and recycle rain water for the gardens but I still do not have enough water for the entire (very large) yard. Next is to dig a separate landscaping well.
