I would guess that there's a Pump Saver, Pump Tech, or Insider installed - these units detect line amperage irregularities and shut the pump down to protect it - then once the timer elapses, the pump turns back on.
If that's what's installed, there's a reason - sometimes the things go haywire, but usually it's because the well is running low on water and the protector is doing the job and shutting the pump down temporarily.
Alternatively, if there is nothing like that installed, then the above gentleman is probably correct. If the overload in the motor is kicking, that's saying that motor is cycling or seeing a heavy load for some reason. Get a well driller/pump installer out there to fix it. Try the NGWA site -
