Hello all, does anyone know if this is a weed or plant. kinda like the look of it. discovered it growing besides my fence a few weeks back.

It's only a weed if you don't want it there.

Take a picture, or a sample to your local county ag resources office.

They have experts that you pay the salary for, to tell you exactly what it is.

They will tell you then if the government considers it a weed, or a good plant.

Is it that kind of sticky vine plant? If so, the only thing good about it is that it pulls out in big pieces.

That's such a bad picture its hard to tell. Best guess: catchweed bedstraw (Galium aparine).

In fact that is nearly the definition of a weed.

A tomato plant growing in the middle of your flower bed can be a weed.

@woodypecker, where are you? That can matter massively. A plant that's manageable in one place might become a horrible weed in another. Some weeds are just this side of cancer; the only good thing is they don't invade you. Chemo for the yard isn't always a good thing.

Would be considered a weed.
Pull or Roundup to kill the roots.
RM43 to sterilize the soil along fence line for less maintenance.

I have been giving that advice for 6 years here, since I joined in 2014.

I have used it myself from time to time, they are great, usually.
