I'm thinking of putting a nice weathervane on my roof. However, I've heard where some people have had problems with birds sitting up there and the mess they've left behind. Is there something that you can put up along with the weathervane that will keep birds from sitting on it all the time? Anyone having problems (or no problems) with their weathervane?

I don't think it is possible to keep birds away from anything! They will roost/rest wherever they wish. However I have been thinking about buying those yellow mouse sticky pads and taping them in narrow strips to the top of our mail box. Strips narrow enough to annoy them -- not hurt them. Bird poop is ugly on the mail box.
