The rear of my house is vinyl siding, the front windows have been replaced.

I've been looking on videos online and see people are using a special tool (fulcrum bar) to grip onto the frame and essentially bend and rip it out. I don't have this tool. I was curious what are the methods of removing aluminum windows. My thought is once I remove the window I would use a vinyl replacement w/o a nailing fit. I would drive screws between the window and house.

Take the vinyl siding off and install new window then cut siding to match, Just keep track bottom to top location of each piece. You use a zip tool to install last piece, The old nail holes will show

that the siding went back on exactly where it was previously located

Post a picture of the windows inside and out.
If there's a nailing fin the siding needs to come off to remove the window.
I can not picture how replacement windows will work and not leak.

Vinyl siding isn't very cooperative to work with in the winter months. If the siding is older or of a substandard quality, it will break quite readily in the cold.
