I have a 20'x10' detached garage with a concrete slab roof. It's been leaking for a while and needs some sort of waterproofing. Any ideas?

Can I do rubber? All I've seen is rubber over plywood. The concrete is pretty rough and not smooth for the adhesive.

Torching rubber?

I stumbled on some website that used multiple layers of primer and mesh to seal but it wasn't sold online.

Any other options?

seal-o-flex, sika, meadows - all have decent products for this IF the conc's prepped properly,,, you can even get a membrane that'll withstand foot/auto traffic,,, imo, most roofing guys won't know how to wtrproof conc

I'm just looking to prevent water getting through the concrete roof and ruining the brick wall underneath. I'm thinking of having a mason do a skim coat to clean it up and then use a spray sealer to waterproof it.

there are many spray sealers that are uv resist - geocell's just 1,,, get out of the apro/vest stores & you'll find there's a large selection products that always resolve issues IF you select the appropriate material AND install it properly

asphalt oxidizes then cracks - you want flat roofing on this garage roof ? if you have deep pockets, do as sr suggests,,, if you want good + MUCH less expense, get the seal-o-flex

The longest-term repair IMO is to use 60 mil rubber in one piece over the whole roof, with termination bars around the perimeter. If the roof is too flat or bellied to drain, it can be built up with foam insulation to promote drainage. This would fall into the catergory of roofing.
