Water supply split

I’m converting a duplex to a single and my main water supply splits into two separate lines (one for each unit). Is there any advantage to keeping this separate? Water presure etc...?
Here is my existing setup:

3/4 “ supply from street à “T”
(level 1) àValve àmeter à
(level 2) àValve àmeter à

With 28 views and no response I think it's time to chalk this up as a silly question.:whistling2: I'll go with my original assumption that I'm getting the same amount of water to my house regardless of how many splits I have...

are there 2 diff bills/deposits? if it doesnt cost more, sometimes its good to leave working things alone.....lest they stop working when fixed.

I think what matters is what is fed from the two (split) lines and diameter of the tubing. Is it still 3/4" after the Tee? If so, you should be fine. If you need to fill up a big tub or something like that, might want to run it from a 3/4" line not a 1/2" line to cut fill time down.

Thanks for the input!

I'm planning to re-plumb everything from the street supply. At the existing "T" it reduces to 1/2" supply for each unit.

I think that since I have two meters I'll use one for outside irrigation and one for inside. That way I can track my irrigations costs:thumbup:

I'm also switching to PEX so I think I'm going to go with a 'home run' setup so I'll continue the 3/4" supply to the 'home run'.
