Can anyone give me a reason why 2 days ago my bathroom started to hear sound like water running through sink,toilet and tub. No leaks found and checked all water supplies and no leaks and no noise anywhere else send me an email at [email protected] and see if we can figure it out ty

it sounds like water running through the pipes but no water running. started a couple of days ago. Checked all sources I could think of and no water running anywhere . Checked all pipes I could find and no leaks noticed.

Have you been in your basement and checked for signs of water? Could have an in-wall leak.

Was it raining? I ask because my walls weren't insulated and i could hear the downspouts from my eavestroughs through the wall during a rainfall. It sounded exactly like water in my walls

My suggestions are:

Step-1: Check your water meter and see if the water movement indicator is spinning. Even a slow leak will spin the water movement indicator like one revolution in 3 minutes for example. But to hear water running, it would have to be a fairly fast leak. Hidden leaks can happen if they are under ground or under a concrete slab. To get a feel of how fast the water movement indicator does spin, turn on a faucet in your home and check it. It will be spinning like crazy. Lower the flow from the faucet so it is just a slow stream and look at the water movement indicator. It will be spinning slowly. If your water movement indicator does not spin at all with all faucets turned off, then you don't have to worry about a potable water leak.

Step-2: Now start looking for a waste drain problem without worries of a sink hole developing.
