A few months ago the pressure in my shower was just fine, then one day i turned the water on and it made a funny noise and the pressure was horrible. I messed with the knob a little and after about 1 day it fixed itself and everything was good. I figured something was clogged somewhere. Then it happened again the a few days ago. I got the water pressure a little bit better but its still not where it was or should be. Any ideas on whats going on? The pressure in the sink is normal, its only in the shower. thanks!

Sounds like it could possibly be debris in the shower head or the valve itself. I would start with removing the head and checking to see if the strainer is clogged or if something is rattling around in the head. I had one that the HO had tried 'pushing' the water saver through into the head, and every now and again it would foul the water flow. While you have the head off, run a few gallons through the neck with no head as well. If no there, it must be a problem with the valve/cartridge.

Its only a shower so i cant check to see the water flow without the shower on. I was thinking about buying a new head also. The lines are copper i believe.
What I asked was, when you had the shower head off to clean the screen and check for debris, did you run the water to flush the pipe, and if so, did the pressure seem particularly low? If so, then def a prob with the shower head.
