I building an outdoor pavilion/kitchen and wanted to get some advice on the plumbing for hot/cold water lines. I am located in NJ so need to consider the freezing factor here. Need to run the lines from my basement into the pavilion
so here is what I came up with:

- Will dig a 36" deep trench outside my basement to go below the frost line.
- I purchased 1/2" type K soft copper so I can bend vs having to use fittings.
- I will surround the copper with armor flex insulation and put it into a 2" PVC pipe.
- There are going to me 3 ft deep concrete footings to support my pavilion walls, so will run the pipe under the footing
- I need to go about 2ft straight out of foundation, make a left curve to my pavilion area, and then go up so I am inside the pavilion wall (which is where the pipes will connect to sink). I will make sure all the lines pitch back to basement so I can drain/winterize
- When I connect the water lines in the basement, I will have some drain lines in the copper that I can remove the water from before winter sets in

Let me know what u all think.

It doesnt say how far from the house the pavilion is. I would consider running PEX for your water lines. You could run 3" PVC to the pavilion as a "conduit" and fish the PEX through it. That way, if anything happened to the PEX, you could always fish a new line through your "conduit". You could even fish electric or cable through it, too. I'm sure you'll have a TV out there.

Thanks.. The pavilion wall where the water lines come in will be about 6 ft from the foundation. I went bak n forth on copper vs pex, but decided to go with the thick copper. Thought about the TV thing as well, but I have that line included in my electric pipes.
