Hi everyone.
GE Nautilus dishwasher (five years old) model #: GSD3200J00BB
I'm hoping someone here can give me some insight on just what's going on with our dishwasher, since I spent all night last night cleaning up the mold that's grown underneath it as a result of the water leak.
If facing the dishwasher, on the bottom left corner is where the Complete Water Valve (GE part 744) is situated. A black hose runs runs from water valve, up the left side of the dishwasher, then curls back toward the front in a candy can shape where it feeds in to a plastic piece with what appear to be two vertical vents. During the cycle, I know water runs through this black hose at key points (I disconnected it at the water valve, and it shot out during the regular cycle), but for some reason when connected, the water is trickling out of these vents in a fairly steady stream. Not all of the water trickles out of these vents, since the dishwasher runs through the entire wash cycle and drains with no problem.
The plastic part with the "vents" appears to be plastic-welded to the tub itself, so I have no idea if it's replaceable. Anyone with ideas on how to fix this and stop the water leak, please help.
Thanks in advance,
-B
