Yes it's at the elbow I turn off the water and dried it out and use a poxy compound I had don't know the name of it, but thats all I have for now.If the pipe is accesable then you can do a quick repair. Is the leak at a joint, a fitting (i.e. elbow or a Tee), a tear or is it just a pinhole? In the mean time shut off the water to your hot water heater to stop the leak from spraying. You can use a piece of bicycle inner tube and some hose clamps to cover over the hole and clamp down on the pipe to stop the leak. It may take a couple of tries, but it should work to stop or sigificantly slow the leak. Good Luck
I'll sure take a picture of it! thanks for the help guys!hi and welcome to the forum.
this is a DIY site so if you'd like to fix it, you're in the right place. it's actually can be very simple. can you take a picture of the area dripping? you might be able to just pop in a sharkbite fitting and be done with it!
EDIT: I can't solder up there because of the installation fire hazard!
