Spraying a wet electric tool with WD-40 and getting it to dry in the sun works wonders.

A freak rainstorm dumped 14"s of water on a basement job some years back---The contractors entire tool collection sat under 3' of water for hours.

Compressed air and WD-40----a lot of sunshine---all tools survived!
