Rain water is flowing under a stone patio and causing a build up of water to seep into the basement. We have added drain tiles and patched the wall. The question is how to stop the water from going under the patio without replacing the patio? What can we fill the opening with? The edge of the patio that meets the grass is the area we have to deal with. Any suggestions?

Ways to change the grade so dirt doesn't wash under the patio?

Grass all along here>>and water seeps under the sidewalk. If we raised the grade by adding dirt where the grass is, wouldn't the dirt all eventually get washed under the concrete? Is there another way to change the grade other than adding a foundation wall?

probably installing a catch drain's the best solution ( 4" perf pipe in stone-lin'd trench ) directing wtr somewhere else.

you'll never stop wtr from entering the bsmt once the house's blt incorrectly UNLESS you invest lotsa $$$ which probably won't be returned when the house's sold.
