Hello Everyone!

This is water damage from no flashing on the deck.
We're selling the house and the buyer's home inspector just discovered this.

I am wondering if this is something I can replace.

How bad of a job is it to replace the 2x4 along the foundation? The insulation and drywall and flashing I am confident I can handle. Is there anything else that I would need to worry about?

Post a picture of the outside, that's likely where the most and hardest to repair damage is.
Just one of the hundreds of picture we see here and on any DIY website, and why we always suggest making the deck freestanding not attached to the house.

I'll get some outside photos tomorrow.

We didn't build the deck; it was there when we purchased the home.
