Our building engineer wants all non-venting washer dryer units to have the washer connected to the buildings main air duct.
The manufacturer says it isn't necessary. The machine has worked perfectly for 4 years with no drainage problems whatever.
Is an air intake necessary to the main building air duct or is any air put into the drain necessary?
Does a non-vented washer/dryer need an air vent in its drain?
