I have a 1960's 1 story ranch(no basement) and currentlly have the washer/dryer in the same area as my kitchen. My garage has electircal hookup for a dryer and all I would need to do is make a fix for venting, which wouldn't be a problem. Running a water line out to the garage is not a problem and relatively inexpensive. Question is, how would I drain the water since it's about 20-30 feet from the orginal placement and main drain line. Does the water need to drain through the main drain line or are there any alternatives?

First thing is are you going to have heat in the garage. do you have other drains close to the new location? Do you have a floor drain in the garage(this one might invovle breaking up concrete) Posting a pic might help. If you answer some of these questions we will try and figure something out. Finally you say its a one story ranch is it on crawl space or concrete slab.
