I have recently replaced fluorescent lighting in my bathroom with new led recessed lighting. During the removal i noticed that most of the wires were ran thru conduits flex and rigid. I say most because there is one romex wire that passes thru the bathroom ceiling from another bathroom just on the other side and then to the laundry room.
There were three fixtures all daisy chained. I replaced those three with 4 led lights. The existing conduits werent long enough to nor enough in quantity to use so i ditched them in my install. But now im questioning if this was safe. Im not fluent in NEC code but id like to fix any mistakes here. Should i be running all wiring in conduit since this is in a bathroom? The ceiling is a lowered grid ceiling. What type of wires are allowed?
Thank you
