Am having a problem with my Room A/C coming on when seemingly it should had. It is a Sears Kenmore 18,000 BTU and I purchased it new in July 2000. It does a great job of cooling when running, however at a set temp of 72, to maintain the rooms, recently the room temp has to get up to about 80 degrees, before coming on. I recently ordered a new Thermistor from the Sears Part Direct place and installed it. It has not got any better. It is a Model 79188, (580.79188890) Kenmore room Air Conditioner. Can anyone help me out on what the problem may be?
