My home has glued down laminate flooring, and I'm wanting to put LVT down. The laminate is in great physical shapes with no gaps or anything like that. It just scratches easily and I'm wanting to swap to a different color.

Would it be possible for me to just lay the LVT on top of the laminate? Just trying to avoid the mess of taking up the laminate flooring.

Thanks!

Sure you can, but do you really want to, better check the wear layer before you buy anything, and whatever is causing the scratching on the existing flooring, and last but not least LVT uses the same coating to resist wear as your existing flooring, which is aluminum oxide.
