I was quoted 5,700-6,000 for 123ft of 6ft vinyl fence plus two gates to be installed and material. This includes removal of chain link fencing and roughly 73 feet of shrubs. Thoughts on this estimate? Upstate NY.

Get five more written proposals.....you will be surprised.

If you are in a sunny, hot and dry place, vinyl fence will not last very long.
Redwood would be a better choice. Yes it would need periodic staining or even change of board, but the price would be better and you will get a stronger fence.
