I am trying to find the easiest way to vent bathroom fixtures. There is a 1 1/2" pipe coming from the cement in the basement. Can I use this as a vent pipe by connecting to the elbow with a T section pipe?

I would say that the 1 1/2 is a vent/wet vent already. Are you planning to tie the fixtures into this pipe?

Yes, the plan is to tie into it for my basement bathroom renovation. How do you know it is a wet vent?

I am looking to tie the vent for the sink, shower and toilet. How can I be sure it is the correct vent?

I am 99.9% sure that the 1 1/2 off the double Y with the two clean outs is a vent.

Are you going to bust out concrete to tie in on the 3" or 4" line.

Keep in mind that the toilet needs to be 3" or 4", shower drain with trap 2" and lavatory 1 1/2"

I will be concrete in the laundry room. That is where the lavatory is going. The waste stack in the picture is right below my power room. I will have to cut through the concrete to connect to it.

The Vent that I was referring to earlier is not in the same room (laundry room) it is 16 feet away in a small closet.

I want to avoid as much damage as possible since the basement is already finished. That is why I want to confirm if it is up to code to connect to that vent from the laundry room
