My kitchen sink gurgles for a long time after water is run down the drain because there is no vent on it. Can it be vented without putting a stack up through the roof??

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Yes, you can add an "air admittance valve" (AAV) under the sink.
The ease of this project depends upon what type of drains you have, of course.

You're gurgle may be a sign of a slow drain due to build up. Especially if it hasn't always done that.
How do you know there's no vent? It could be inside the wall behind the sink.
