what do you mean by vented? if it has a concentric vent outside where it takes air in for combustion and shoots out the exhaust around it then no it is a sealed combustion unit and takes no air from the house lowering the humidity. post a pic of the exhaust termination and we may be able to help. most newer ones today are sealed combustion.

if its using air from the house for combustion air, it can dry out the house.
