first time at this site, seems like a great info tool, my question is horizontal vent piping in the attic i know it needs to be run at a pitch to drain but is there a certain height above the truss boards, do you bury it in the blown in insulation or keep above that level?thank you for any input very appreciated

A slight pitch will aid in drainage of condensation, and insulating is beneficial in a cold climate

Insulation's a good thing. The pipe can be covered and just needs enough pitch to flow rainwater.

Vent piping in the attic will have condensation in the winter. If your area has extremely cold temps, insulating the lines would be in your best interest. You may want to call your local Code office and ask if insulation is recommended or required in your area.
