So I recently had a contractor do my roof, I'm not sure if he shingled around the stink pipes correctly and exhaust vent. Or maybe I just never seen it done this way before. I will attach pictures.

Nothing majorly wrong. Imo, some areas are not caulked/sealed, all exposed nail heads should be sealed as well, that's a leak waiting to happen. Maybe he's coming back to seal??

There are several different ways of doing this, and there are different types of boots/flashing. Here is one:

Lower flange should be on top of the shingles.

Ya that's what worries me is not seeing the lower flanges on top of shingles.

Are you in Quebec? Common method there, though those are pretty sloppy.
I prefer to do it properly but apparently things are different there.

Totally wrong way to do it!
Did they replace all those old roof jacks, or just reuse the old ones?
Even the way they cut around it looks like a hack job, looks like one was cut from the top side and left a huge cut mark on the top side and used it anyway.
Just because that's the way we always do it, does not make it right.
I've fired several roofers I hired as sub's that went behind my back after being told not to do it that way and and did it anyway.
I'm the one there going to call when it leaks, not them.

They put in new ones. But ya never seen them flashed like this before lol, don't really know how thats going to shed water.

If they're done as I think they are,they are lapped onto a lower shingle and lots of plastic cement.
