How far can an up flush toilet be located from the main drain. There will also be a shower and sink that will be hooked up to the main holding tank. My ideal location is about 25-30 feet away from the main drain. It will be hooked up to this drain that travels the length of the house (30-40 feet) and then turns 90 degrees where it travels about 10 feet before it exits the house into the septic tank. Any ideas. The alternative location is much closer to the main drain and septic but it is definitely not the best location in the basement... Any ideas are appreciated!

Do you mean your going to pipe in a bathroom into an ejector pump? If so the vertical height is what matters the horizontal run as long as it is pitching the proper pitch becomes gravity drain I believe the pumps usually will pump up twelve ft' if your higher than that doubtful you need a bigger pump

all macerating pumps i have used require you to have vertical lift before horizontal drain

make sure to use an effluent/ejector pump and not a grinder/macerating pump since you are on a septic system. Grinding up solids and sending them to your septic can cause some nasty stuff to happen, which could cause an early failure of your system.
