Wood shrinks. The line can be knifed out and wood putty put in, then repainted. Picture 2, I don't see any trim problem. Point it out to us. Picture 3 appears that someone has already taken steps to remedy the crack. Sand and paint.

NOW, if you're talking about PAINT, my grandkids could have done a better job, standing on their heads.

Hello!
Looking for some advice. I've recently removed some oversized plastic trim around our windows, put in by the previous owners, but has left quite a large gap between the frame and the wall.
We're looking to get the room re-plastered but worried about damp getting in through the gap as I don't think there is much protecting it from the outside.
Is there something I should fill the gap with, or would plastering be okay?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you.

@akatsushi It is always best to start your own thread rather than hijacking another's. Start a new thread, give us enough information to work with and post pictures so we can see what you see. You're in Germany, so we can't possibly know the construction methods used there, but we'll try.
