You need to be above 54" off the floor for the lights. Standard upper cabinets that get hung 7' to the top are installed 54" off of the floor. The calculation would be 84" less 30" high standard upper.
The standard height opening for a hood cabinet area would be 15" higher than the bottom of the 30" upper. So add the 54" to the 15" and that will be the bottom of the hood upper. So above 69" if it is a microwave hood and below 69" for a regular hood.
