I have read through a lot of information on how to bleed a furnace that had run out of oil. But I am still not having any luck. When I open the bleeder valve, I just get a very slow drip of oil. I am unable to get the furnace electrically started. I have tried tapping the reset button, holding the reset button a long time, thermostat on and off, burner emergency switch on and off. What is it supposed to sound like when it's on but not primed? What else can I try to get it running again? As far as I know, there is nothing wrong with the furnace--it just ran out of oil.

Ayuh,... The oil feed is bled, with the burner motor Runnin'....

If it don't start with a single push of the burner control reset button,...
Something is Very wrong, electrically...

If ya don't know How to test electrical components,...
I suggest you call a burner service Tech, as yer in over yer head...

Is there a reset button on the Motor,..??
