I just bought my first house and it needs some upgrades. I would like to replace these ugly ceiling vents from the 70's.

What are my options?

Unless your tearing out the drywall to install new ceiling cans, just newer ones that look the same.

Looks fine to me. I suppose you could replace with a 4 way rectangular ceiling vent from Lowes if it bothers you that much.
