Turbo Torch / Propane

I have an older turbo torch that came with two tips ,can it be safely used with propane for a lower heat source,tips are acetylene A-3 and A-11.

Probably not but the only way to be sure is to check with the manufacturer.
is it a mixing torch with oxygen tank too? i have uniweld artorch and the tips can run acetylene or propane, you just need to adjust pressures accordingly to get correct mix.

No it's not a mixing torch with an oxygen tank,just connects to an acetylene tank.I think it would work ok for just a heating source with propane but I would have to get a hose to propane bottle adapter. Dont see why it wouldn't work for just a heat source if like you said with proper adjustment.....as far as asking the manufacturer ,they will tell you to buy one of their $$$ propane tips,if I want to do that I could just buy one of those self igniters that screw on propane bottles.
You will need a propane tip and an adapter like you mentioned. An acetylene tip won't work.
Sounds like yours screws on a b-tank. They are great. I'd just get the right tip....
