Personally, I hate using any kind of cleaner on walls before painting. They always leave a film that can react with the new paint film. It's much easier to lightly scuff sand then rinse with warm water. Sanding is a lot quicker than deglossing with TSP.

Thanks, but my question was can tsp degloss acrylic paint. I've read conflicting opinions. Some say it can only degloss oil based paints, others say it can only degloss acrylic water based paints. Also I heard the deglossing only lasts a short period of time?

Technically, TSP does not degloss latex paints. But, it does open up the pores of the paint film allowing for better adhesion of new topcoats.
