We have remodeled our kitchen to put in higher ceilings, and are trying to reuse our pendants. The electricity for the pendant runs through a conducting wire (pics attached) which also serves to hang the pendant. The current wire is about 8 feet and we'd like to get a wire that is closer to 15 feet. The wire does not plug into any socket part of the pendant but rather is just screwed into the metal at certain points . By design, the current wire does short (it sparks) when two of the hanging strings are touched together so electricity is conducted on the outside of the wire.

The original manufacturer is Besa lighting but they no longer make this light nor do they have any information about replacement wire. Can anyone recommend a replacement wire that might work?
