Hey thanks! I don't think it came with a manual so I went online n I found one like it that said the ignition is triggered by water pressure. so do I have to connect it to make it work? It's digital

What is the brand and model of the water heater. 12 kw is a lot of electricity, and I'm not sure what a D battery has to do with it.

Yes, you have to connect it to water and propane for it to work.

Have you hooked up the water connection? Post pictures please

Is this the cheap little unit sold by Walmart that uses 2 D batteries for ignition power rather than 120vac? Walmart had one unit for $79.99.

Return the defective product and get a replacement.

Tankless water heaters will not ignite unless there is water flowing through them.

No offense meant, but if you are asking the questions you are asking, I would STRONGLY suggest that you contact a plumber to have them recommend and install a good quality LP tankless water heater.

New ones just plug into a 110 outlet.
