My pump wet out yesterday. I did some tests 1st checked panel breaker it did'nt trip. 2nd checked pressure sw. 240 V across both contacts 120 to grnd on all four. 3rd shut off breaker and removed cover of the control box. i read the ohm chart that was for my pump 1/2 hp- 230v blk to yel range 3.5 to 5.5 read 5.3, yel to red range 13.5 to 20.5 read 18.4=23.7 read blk to red 27.1ohm. i discharged the cap. and read with ohm meter no cap checker. read ohms rising to infinite both ways. I'm not sure how to chek the relay with out any power. With ohm meter from L1 to blk (main) .5 ohm from either L1 or blk to cap. term i get no reading, i suspect this because no power to coil side of relay. I reinstalled the cap and relay and touned on breaker at panel and no reults. I then turned off breaker and removed the cover and found the cap. was recharged so i'm not sure what is left to do. I'm going to have the cap. and relay checked at an electric motor shop other than this not sure what to do. Please advise if i'm on the right track befor i buy a new control box. Thanks in advance

Are you saying the franklin control is asking the pump to run but you have no water pressure ? You state that both sides of the contacter are 240 volts between L1 and 2 which is telling me that the pump is being asked to run. Can you gain access to the pump motor ?
