Bathroom is not a year old. Travertine Tile. Grout on Floor of shower was turning dark, a different contractor said it was the type of sealer (color enhancing) and re-grouted the floor and sealed it. Now about a month later, there is water seeping up in one corner, totally opposite the water pipes. Does this mean the floor needs to be ripped up? Or did the guy do a lousy job of grouting the second time? He was messy and slopped grout everywhere that I am still cleaning. I want to cry. Shower was done properly from everything I read, with the red rubber part way up the walls and plastic sheeting actually surrounding the rest of it before the cement board and tile. Floor was cemented and tested for leaks prior to tiling. Original contractor had his own family emergency and was unavailable for 6 months.

You need to post a picture---Travertine on a shower pan is a difficult material---to absorbent.

You have water coming up from the floor and you think the grout is the problem?:)

I can assure you it is not.:)
